Export of counterfeits made in China to Europe grew to US$ 8.2 billion (JPY 750 billion).

According to a latest report of the United Nations, export of counterfeits made in China to Europe is of 750 billion yen value. Included are fake brand-name clothing, pirated household electrical appliances, unlicensed aircraft parts, and so on. Considering that the total imports of Chinese products by 27 EU member nations are 769 billion euros (approx. 86 trillion yen in 2008), the counterfeits make up a little less than 1 % of them, which needs urgent countermeasures.
