Takamasa ARAI

Takamasa ARAI obtained an ME in Engineering from Kobe University and is an officially qualified head electric technician (3rd kind). His speciality covers Electricity, Electronics, Physics,Material Science, and Mechanical Engineering. He speaks Japanese and English and is responsible for a wide range of services we offer to international clients.

As you may already know, foreign patent laws as well as other regulations are frequently revised in these days, and numerous court decisions made in recent years may have dramatic impact to foreign patent practices. Given these circumstances, I believe it is my duty to always keep up myself with these legal precedents and restless law revisions, in order to provide our clients with appropriate and useful legal advice.

Chau DO

Chau DO is working towards her MASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Her research was focused on developing three-dimensional microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). This involved designing MEMS components, integrating equipment with micro-components and bringing the micro-components out of plane using the equipment. Chau is currently completing her thesis.

Having switched from a computer background in my undergraduate studies to MEMS in my graduate studies, I have dealt with a wide range of engineering topics. I would like to use this knowledge in the field of intellectual property in order to benefit our clients.

Muriel SOBATA

Muriel SOBATA born in Michigan, USA. She obtained a bachelors degree in marketing and international business with a minor in German language from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2006. Her language skills include; English, German and Japanese.

With my globally oriented perspective, working in the international department it will be my honor to assist our esteemed clients capably and professionally.
