a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring

Takaya KOIKE, born in 1944, is the Tokyo Head Office Director of HARAKENZO WORLD PATENT & TRADEMARK. Upon graduating from a university in 1967, he worked for the Japan Patent Office as an examiner and a trial examiner covering electric, electronic, communication, and semiconductor fields mainly.
Thereafter, he belonged to an intellectual property department of an electrical appliance maker where he experienced the entire gamut of business enterprise IP practices digging up inventions, acquiring patent, design, and trademark rights, making licensing contracts as well as handling legal cases. In January 2008, he took up his position as the Tokyo Head Office Director of HARAKENZO WORLD PATENT & TRADEMARK.
