The fees related to a design search vary depending on the type of
search and on the type of product.
Please contact us on a case by case basis .

Design application in Japan


The prosecution of a design application in Japan incurs separate fees at the time of filing and at the time of registration, as shown below.

※ 1 : The above does not include fees related to electronic filing, postage or photocopies.
※ 2 : Office Action(s) may be issued by the JPO between filing and registration.
※ 3 : Our Attorney’s fee in the case of related designs is 40,000 yen.
※ 4 : The above fees apply for applications filed in Japan by overseas residents.
※ 5 : Special fees are available for orders comprising a high number of cases. Feel free to
          contact us in this regard.

















Design right maintenance


Annuity fees must be paid to the Japan Patent Office (JPO) for the maintenance of the design right. The related Official fees and our Attorney’s fee for one design are as follows.

 4th to 10th year16,900 yen per year
 11th to 20th year33,800 yen per year
 
Attorney’s fee1st to 3rd year22,000 yen
(Payment of the three years in lump sum)
4th to 10th year9,000 yen (for each payment)

Design right transfer
