Patent Attorney/Patent Engineer capable of practice both in Chinese and Japanese (Physics)

Practices

Domestic Application procedures for obtaining right

Preparation of specification (including interviews with the client), etc.

Domestic Post-application procedures for obtaining right
Preparation of argument/amendment to reasons for rejection, appeal against decision of rejection, etc.
International procedures Preparation of specification (International patent application via Paris route and PCT route), draft reply to Office Actions, etc. Right-related procedures Prior art search, etc.

Requirements

1) being fluent both in Chinese and Japanese
2) having degree(s) in Physics (e.g. electric engineering/electronics, mechanics, etc.)
3) being a graduate from a university(ies) or from a graduate school(s) in all countries in the world (Asian countries such as Japan, China, Korea, Hong-Kong, and Singapore, European countries such as Britain, Germany, and France, the US, and Canada, etc)
4) having high motivation to learn (always required to learn technical knowledge so as to improve one’s ability as a professional in the field of intellectual property rights)
5) having an ability to do one’s practices promptly and exactly
6) not required to be a qualified patent attorney or to have prosecution experience, but a person who is a qualified patent attorney or who has prosecution experience is given a favorable treatment

Rewards

a salary (the amount of salary is negotiable; the applicant will be asked to submit salary requirements together with a resume)

Treatments

A raise in pay a year, two bonuses a year, communication allowance and social insurances included

Basic Office Hours

9:00 – 17:30 (Flextime available)
working 5 days a week (our office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays)

Vacations

National Holidays, Summer Vacation, Winter Vacation (including New Year’s Day), Paid Holidays, and other special vacations
