The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has updated its guidelines for staff on the responsible use of generative AI tools.
The updated guidelines also introduce clear rules regarding prompts and information handling, classifying information as public, restricted, confidential, and secret. Particular emphasis is placed on protecting personal data, verifying AI-generated output, and the need for human oversight at every stage.
