USPTO to Accept Petitions for Cancellation in Trademark Trials at TTAB Center

On May 12, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) launched a new system called the "TTAB Center"https://ttabcenter.uspto.gov/) has begun accepting cancellation applications.

The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board is transitioning to a new platform, the TTAB Center, to replace the existing Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA). At this time, Statements of Opposition can only be filed at the TTAB Center.

Currently, a party seeking to cancel a valid trademark registration may file a petition for cancellation either at the TTAB Center or through ESTTA. However, after July 12, petitions for cancellation will no longer be available through ESTTA.
