일본 - 바레인 왕국 간의 특허 심사 고속도로

일본 특허청은 9월 22일 바레인 왕국공업상업성과 2개국 간 특허심사 고속도로(PPH)에 관한 협력각서에 서명했다. 그 결과 일본과 바레인 왕국 사이의 PPH가 2026 년 1 월 1 일부터 시작됩니다.

2025년 9월 29일(월요일) 일본 특허청(JPO)의 허니시 장관, 야스다 특허기감과 유럽 특허청(EPO)의 안토니오 캄피노스 관 간의 바이회합이 실시되었다.

이 바이회합에서는 IT·AI 이용에 있어서의 양쪽의 최신 동향과 다양한 포럼에 있어서의 향후의 양청 협력을 향한 인식이 JPO와 EPO로 공유되었다. 또한 JPO와 EPO사이에 2019년부터 연결되어 있던 협력각서(MoC)에 대해 2027년까지 2년간 연장하는 것이 합의되었다. 상기 협력 각서(MoC)에는, JPO와 EPO가, IT·AI 이용에 관한 특허 정보의 공유 등의 점에서 협력하는 것이 포함되어 있다.

따라서 향후는 JPO와 EPO 사이에서 IT·AI 이용에 관한 사항에 대해 협력이 보다 진행됨으로써 특허 정보가 보다 공유되고, 그에 따라 IT·AI 이용에 관한 특허의 심사 효율이 향상될 것으로 생각된다. 그 결과, 일본 및 유럽에서 IT·AI를 이용하는 기술의 개발이 보다 촉진될 전망이다.
